Kerry-Ann James is a television/film actress, film scholar, curator, and former high-performance track athlete based in Toronto.


––a television/film actress known for her appearances on the Netflix original series Grand Army, Ginny and Georgia, and Paramount Plus series Mayor of Kingstown. She is an emerging curator, having guest curated the 35th Images Film Festival Slow Edition, amongst further talks and events at CINSSU and University College. She is also well-known for her high-performance track and field career. Earning two national champion titles in Triple Jump and competing in the 2016 Canadian Olympic trials. Kerry-Ann also has modeled for brands like Mejuri, Tentree, STUDIO CPW & Function of Beauty.  

–– she earned her master’s in Cinema and Media Studies. Her research interest focuses on aesthetics and explores spatiality and temporality in contemporary cinema. Kerry-Ann earned her Honors BA in Cinema Studies from the University of Toronto, where her academic work has been published in The Undergraduate Journal of American Studies, Camera Stylo: Cinema Studies Undergraduate Journal, and ImagiNATIONS: Undergraduate Journal of Canadian Studies.
